Blik
Intimate | Refined | Welcoming | Unique design
Tucked away on the lively Reguliersdwarsstraat, BLIK is where casual charm meets serious hospitality. Under the guidance of renowned chef Jacob Jan Boerma, the kitchen lead by Quinten serves outstanding bistro dishes in their own style. The bistro and bar is accessible, stylish, and full of heart.
The moment you walk in, you’ll notice the inviting atmosphere: warm lighting, a long bar that makes you want to linger, and a crackling fireplace that instantly draws you in. The menu is compact yet thoughtful - no unnecessary fuss, just honest dishes done exceptionally well.
Whether you’re enjoying a glass of wine by the bar upstairs or downstairs, sharing plates with friends, or settling in for a long dinner, BLIK offers the kind of experience that feels both sophisticated and easygoing. The kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.
Ps. don’t forget to order dessert.

Char*d
Smoky | Refined | Bold | Effortless
Tucked into the lively Utrechtsestraat, Char’d brings together serious grilling and neighbourhood ease. It’s a place where wood, fire and smoke take centre stage - but always with subtlety, craft and a relaxed attitude.
From the moment you step in, you’ll feel the energy: open flames, used-with-intention grilled dishes, a wine list that holds its own, and a space that invites conversation rather than ceremony. Char’d isn’t about over-the-top theatrics - it’s about good food done thoughtfully, good company and a setting that feels like something special without being stiff.
Expect dishes that lean into flavour: seasonal ingredients, clean execution and that smoky depth only real fire can give. Char’d hits the sweet spot between craft and comfort and we love that!

Franzen
Pure | Domestic | Warm
Step into Franzen on the Johannes Verhulststraat and you’ll find a place that feels like a modern living room-inviting, unfussy, yet clearly crafted with culinary care.
Chef‐owner Jesse Franzen draws from his fine-dining roots to create dishes rooted in the seasons: think mackerel with sorrel and hazelnut, or dry-aged steak that speaks for itself. The kitchen is polished, but the atmosphere stays relaxed: you’re encouraged to come for main + glass of wine as easily as a full tasting.
The interior is comfortable but clearly intentional. Whether you settle in for a long evening or drop in after work, Franzen hits the sweet spot between ease and quality.

No Nonsense
Cozy | Casual | Tasty | Neighbourhood vibes
Just a short walk from Nieuwmarkt, No Nonsense hits that perfect sweet spot between a laid-back bar and a proper restaurant. The kind of place where you drop by for one drink and somehow end up staying all day.
It’s warm, lively, and unpretentious, run by friends Jochem, Ivo & Job who know exactly how to make everyone feel at home 🤍
The menu fits every mood: think croissants and soft-boiled eggs in the morning, melty toasties or a classic “broodje bal” for lunch, and in the evening dishes to share like vitello tonnato, kibbeling, stracciatella with bread to dip and what might just be the best chicken burger in town. Even the neighbors from Ku Kitchen drop by (daily) for their burger.
No Nonsense is all about good vibes, good food and good company. No fuss, no frills, just everything you want from your new local hangout. Also great for groups and drinks in de weekend by the bar that steals the show.

PEPS
Tapas | Wine | Friends | DJ
If there’s one place that captures the joy of Spanish dining, it’s PEPS. This brand-new wine and tapas bar in Oud-West is buzzing from the moment you walk in - warm lights, the hum of conversations, and that unmistakable energy that makes you want to stay for hours.
The menu is all about sharing: delicious tapas, comforting classics, and a great selection of wines. We especially loved the La Muchacha red - rich, smooth, and just perfect alongside a table full of plates to share.
Owner Pepijn and his team make you feel instantly at home. Whether you’re stopping by for a few glasses of wine at the bar, or settling in for a long dinner with friends, PEPS is the kind of place where everyone belongs.
The interior? Think cozy corners, warm tones, and plenty of lively bar seats. Perfect for groups, dates, or a spontaneous after-work drink.
In short: great vibes, great wine, great people. Great after dinner weekend spot!

TOET
Warm | Elegant | Mediterranean | Effortless
Just opposite of the RAI at Europaplein, Toet brings together the expertise and quality from the team behind Troef.
Step inside and you’re welcomed by a warm, stylish space. Soft tones, elegant details, and that familiar sense of hospitality that instantly makes you feel at home.
The menu is inspired by the Mediterranean coast, combining generous, vibrant flavours with French finesse. Every dish feels thoughtful and refined, yet still easy to enjoy - the kind of food that invites you to share and linger.
Perfect for a cozy dinner or a few plates with friends, Toet is that rare mix of relaxed and refined and we love it for that

Wonton
Comforting | Flavorful | Playful | Unpretentious
Hidden in Amsterdam’s Jan Evertsenstraat, Wonton is where comfort food gets a stylish twist. At this dumpling club you’ll find home-made dumplings, hand-pulled noodles, baos and more - executed with flair but served with a relaxed, friendly vibe.
From the moment you step in, the place feels like one big invitation: linger with a drink, share plates with friends, stay for a noodle bowl that warms right through to your core. There’s something beautifully uncomplicated yet satisfying about it.
Whether you're seated at the bar or gathered around a table, you’ll experience food that’s full of character and heart: dumplings bursting with flavour, rich broths, noodles pulled to perfection - all grounded in a setting that’s lively yet unpretentious.
For anyone who loves good food, Wonton is a spot you’ll want on your radar.

Camarat
Vibrant | Noord | Social | Stylish
Nestled along the Gedempt Hamerkanaal, Camarat is the new owner of what used to be Chateaux Amsterdam. This space is unique and fit right into the Noord-mosphere. Think old garage, high seelings dressed with curtain drapes, sharing plates, drinks that flow into late hours and an atmosphere that invites you to stay. Also amazing when the sun shines on their terrace.
From the moment you arrive you’ll feel the vibe: aesthetic, stylish/raw interior, a bar that doubles as the social hub and a menu designed for both ease and flair. Whether you’re here for dinner, a long drink, or even dancing later on when the DJ takes over - Camarat makes the whole evening feel like the occasion.
Food-wise: the kitchen leans into contemporary design with bold flavours, playful presentation and share-friendly portions that let you stay flexible (snacks, plates, full meal). The owners, friends Beau and Ruben, aim to make every guest feel like a ‘kameraad’ rather than a customer.
The perfect spot for a group of friends looking for something that starts casual and might just end with dancing or clubbing into Noord’s vibrant nightlife - Camarat is where good food, good company and good times converge.
Oh, and they have a fountain.

The Orchid House
All-day | Breezy | Sophisticated | Coffee turns Club
Nestled next to the green stretch of Oosterpark, Orchid House is the kind of place you can pop into for a morning coffee and stay for cocktails well into the night and dance the night away at their club.
From sunrise to latest drinks, the space delivers relaxed sophistication: multiple cozy spots, soft interiors, and an all-day menu that mixes Mediterranean comfort with hints of South America.
Whether you’re in the mood for a good coffee with a pastry, a laid-back brunch with friends or an evening out with good food and good cocktails - Orchid House is where the neighbourhood meets something a little elevated yet utterly approachable.
